This could be income statements and statements of cash flows to owners and operators of the business, as well as highly customised management reports detailing a range of topics. This could include sales of certain product lines, cost variances, sales returns and an analysis of overtime incurred.

 

Finally, you’ll have to produce tax reports to several government entities.

If you’re considering a career in accounting, then you should have sound numerical ability and an analytical mind. You would also benefit from an excellent eye for detail and great organisational skills.
